Our Origin Story
From Camp Director Travis Raybold
We are blessed to have 3 acres of forest in the back yard, backing up to Johnson Creek. As my kids were growing up, they loved playing in the woods - climbing trees, digging for worms, catching crawdads, and building forts. My daughter Freya took that love of nature, and volunteered to be a counselor at outdoor camps every chance she got. Now she is in college working on her teaching license. We would love to be able to share this beautiful spot with other kids, and let them have the same opportunities to explore nature. We are also lucky to have a friend who teaches design methodology to kids using a variety of mediums, including 3d printing! We hope that a mix of play based time in nature and open ended design projects will not only entertain your children, but help nurture their love of learning and nature.
